TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Lancaster. The unofficial start to summer is in the books. Pools are open, AC is finally earning its keep, and the calendar from here through Labor Day fills up fast. Lee Brice is at AMT on Friday, the Stormers are home Friday night, and Long's Park Summer Music Series opens June 7. Pace yourselves.

In today's Lancaster Ledger:

• Puppy yoga is coming to Shops at Rockvale

• A Warwick Twp company is building the UFC stage at the White House

• Three new downtown businesses just got CRIZ funding

Let's do it.

SPONSORED BY HINKLE INSURANCE AGENCY

Your Neighbor in the Insurance Business Since 1976

Finding the right insurance shouldn't feel like a headache. Hinkle Insurance Agency has been helping Lancaster County families and businesses navigate coverage for nearly 50 years, and they've handled my business insurance needs since I launched my first company in 2020.

As an independent agency, Hinkle isn't tied to one insurance company. Karyn, Luke, and the team shop across multiple carriers to find you the best combination of price, coverage, and service. Home, auto, business, life: they handle it all and actually pick up the phone when you call.

Three generations of the Hinkle family have built this agency on one idea: treat every client like a neighbor, not a policy number. That's why families who started with them in the '70s and '80s are still there today, and bringing their kids and grandkids along.

Stop by the office at 705 Olde Hickory Road, Suite 200, Lancaster or give them a call at (717) 560-9733. You can also visit hinkleinsurance.com to learn more.

A Warwick Township company is building the UFC stage on the White House South Lawn 🥊

Tait Global, an entertainment staging company headquartered in Warwick Township, has started construction on the White House South Lawn for UFC Freedom 250, scheduled for 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 14. Fight card includes a lightweight title match — Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje — and a heavyweight interim title bout, Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane. Livestream on Paramount+.

Tait test-built the custom open-air studio structure on Furnace Hills Pike in late April before shipping it to D.C. Senior marketing manager Tori Hartman declined further comment on the project. Quietly building the biggest stage in the country and saying nothing about it. Very Lancaster County of them.

Three new downtown Lancaster businesses just got CRIZ funding to build out their spaces 🏪

The Lancaster City CRIZ Authority Board approved three Small Business Financial Assistance Grants this week. The recipients: Nori Taco LLC for furniture, fixtures, and equipment at a brand-new quick-service restaurant at 126 N. Prince St.River Wealth Advisors LLC for the buildout of a financial services office at 101 N. Queen St., Suite 301; and Pocket Books Shop LLC for leasehold improvements at the downtown bookstore at 23 N. Prince St. Dollar amounts on the grants weren't disclosed in the agenda.

Net effect for downtown: a new taco joint, a new advisor office, and more shelf space at one of the city's best new bookstores. (Pocket Books on Prince has been open since fall 2025 but this funds the next phase.) Three new fixtures on three downtown blocks.
