TOGETHER WITH

Good morning, Lancaster.
You know that friend who somehow always knows where the food trucks are parked on any given Tuesday? The one with a mental map of where M.A.D. BBQ pulls up, which lot Snowy's Hawaiian Shaved Ice takes over after 4 p.m., and the exact gas station Cool Beans Brew lives at on weekends? That's not a hobby. That's a calling. And this past weekend in Columbia, that calling was rewarded.
In today's Lancaster Ledger:
• Foxduck is closing its King Street shop
• Lancaster's Best Food Truck just crowned a repeat champ
Let's do it.
— Collin

Your Neighbor in the Insurance Business Since 1976
Finding the right insurance shouldn't feel like a headache. Hinkle Insurance Agency has been helping Lancaster County families and businesses navigate coverage for nearly 50 years, and they've handled Collin's business insurance needs since he launched his first company in 2020.
As an independent agency, Hinkle isn't tied to one insurance company. Karyn, Luke, and the team shop across multiple carriers to find the best combination of price, coverage, and service. Home, auto, business, life: they handle it all and actually pick up the phone when you call.
Three generations of the Hinkle family have built this agency on one idea: treat every client like a neighbor, not a policy number. That's why families who started with them in the '70s and '80s are still there today, and bringing their kids and grandkids along.
Stop by the office at 705 Olde Hickory Road, Suite 200, Lancaster or call (717) 560-9733.
THE DIGEST
Foxduck is closing its downtown shop 👕
Foxduck, the Lancaster County-themed apparel maker tucked next to Central Market at 11 W. King St., will close its brick-and-mortar storefront on June 12. Owner Wes Keates is heading to Jimmy Juice in Conestoga Township as brand lead, where he previously designed the distillery's product packaging. The online store will go dark for the summer too, then relaunch in late summer with a smaller, refreshed lineup of designs that "promote a sense of community without being so focused on Lancaster-specific themes."
The shop opened in 2016 and built a following on T-shirts celebrating local towns, businesses, and Lancaster County quirks. Current hours through closing day are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday. If you've been eyeing a shirt, this is the window.

M.A.D. BBQ wins Best Food Truck. Again. 🏆
Elizabethtown's M.A.D. BBQ took top honors for the second straight year at Lancaster's Best Food Truck Competition IV, held May 30-31 at Valhalla Farms in Columbia. The fourth annual contest expanded to two days, dozens of trucks competed, and the proceeds went to Joyful Doberman Rescue of PA. Cool Beans Brew from Lebanon County won Consumer's Choice, also a repeat from 2025.
Category winners: Wilson's Funnel Cakes (dessert), Snowy's Hawaiian Shaved Ice (frozen dessert), Scott's Artisan Pizza (Italian), and a tie in the Mexican category between Latin Touch and Ezzy Eats. Two brand-new categories debuted this year: Uncle Paul's Stuffed Pretzels took pretzel and The Oasis took lemonade. Back-to-back BBQ champs. Don't sleep on the brisket.
